The cover works very well -- it's easy to get the Kindle Fire in using the 4 elastic corner holders. The KF seems to be securely held, I'm not worried about it falling out. The case is sturdily built but not overly bulky. I'm sure you could get something thinner, but the extra padding also gives extra protection. For the price, I think it's a fabulous deal -- I don't see any other nice looking case even coming close. I don't think the KF warrants buying a $30, $50 or more expensive case considering the original cost of the device.
The case has nice white stitching around the edges and it's cleanly done (no missing stitches). I have Amazon Prime and it arrived within 3 days with free shipping. Cant beat that with a stick!
I'm not sure if I will use the card holder so I have no comment about that. Maybe I'll throw a business card in there in case I lose it and some nice samaritan can find me and return it.

My Kindle Fire fits perfectly in this cover. I am very happy with this purchase. I did notice that the stitching on mine is white instead of black as pictured, but it looks just as nice.
