I purchased this case for my Amazon Kindle Fire. I bought it because it is the cheapest leather case with a stand.
Positive: It is a good price. Looks professional. The stand works perfectly.
Negative: The kindle fire pops out of the four elastic bands that hold it into place too easily. I could see the bands as the part to fail sometime in the future. This case makes the Kindle fire too thick to fit into a pants pocket. Definitely could be thinner. Made in China.
Bottom line: It isn't the perfect case but I would definitely buy again just for the price and the professional looks.

I bought this as a general purpose case to protect my Kindle Fire when carrying it to and fro. On that count, it certainly does the job with 7.5mm of firm padding backing either cover, clad in black leather on the outside and soft grey microfiber inside. The backboard which the Fire straps into via 4 elastic retaining straps is 3.7mm thick and clad in the same grey microfiber.
Fasteners:
There are four elastic retaining straps, one at each corner of the backboard and a fifth long loop, made of a more forgiving material running the length of the back cover which can be pulled forward to hold the case closed. The four retaining straps work well enough to keep the Fire in place and the tablet certainly won't pop our in normal use, but I wouldn't mind if the moorings of each were placed just a bit farther apart to better grip each corner of the Fire. The fifth strap works well to hold the case closed and I generally prefer this method to snaps or zippers in a case like this. However, if there's one part of this case that's going to fail it will be the moorings for these straps as each is held is place with just four stitches.
Quality:
The finish of this case is very nice, particularly considering the price. The stitches binding everything together are tight and true without any exposed loose ends. There's a small 30x9mm "amazon basics" logo discreetly embossed on one corner of the front cover. The case emits a nice leathery aroma, if you're into that type of thing.
As a stand:
Used as a stand, the backboard slides solidly into each of the notches for 3 different viewing angles. There won't be any slippage here.
As a handheld:
If you've used a fold-back cover on a previous Kindle, you know what to expect here. In this orientation I imagine some might find the case bulky while others will prefer the added size and now exposed microfiber backing for holding on. The fifth strap comes in handy again here as it slots nicely into one of the stand notches to hold the folded cover in place.
Size:
This is one area where I think the case could have been better, or at least thinner. With the Kindle Fire inserted and case closed the resulting pacakge measures 197mm (7.75in) long, 130mm (5.12in) wide and 30mm (1.2in) thick. In other words, it's just hair longer and slightly wider than a naked Kindle Fire, but nearly 2.5 times as thick. This is a problem for me as it precludes me from slipping the Fire into the inside breast pocket of my jacket as I'd grown accustomed, but it's not a deal breaker.
Overall the AmazonBasics Leather Folio Cover with Multi-Angle Adjustable Stand for Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 (Black) is a great case for a great price.

This is my second AmazonBasics case- the first one I bought was for a 1st gen IPad. Both are sturdy, quality products at very reasonable prices. I'll agree with what several others reviewers have mentioned about this case:
PROS:
The four elastic bands hold the Fire in place securely, and it's a cleaner, sleeker solution than cases that have some sort of frame around the tablet with cutouts for buttons, cameras, sensors, etc. Only time will tell if it's an effective long-term solution, but so far so good. Of course, the use of the straps instead of a frame precludes the use of magnets for a closure, but the strap closure may actually turn out to be the more secure option.
The microfiber lining is soft and shouldn't scratch the Fire's screen- in fact, it effectively "polishes" the screen when it's closed. I've noticed that when I open the case, there are thin strips of fingerprints on the screen corresponding to where the grooves for the stand are located on the inner front cover, but the rest is fingerprint free. Makes me wish the case didn't have those grooves, then it would be clean every time I opened it (more on that below).
The whole thing seems well-assembled of quality materials, with clean stitching. The flexible parts of the case seem properly reinforced to ensure that they'll hold up to continuous use. Again, I suppose time will tell. If it holds up like my AmazonBasics IPad case, I'll be more than pleased.
CONS:
The strap that holds the case closed seems likely to stretch over time. If you look closely at the pattern on the strap, you'll notice it's not the same material as the straps that hold the Fire in place. Not sure if that matters, but it's an interesting curiosity that two different elastics were chosen. Nevertheless, the strap holds the thing shut better than a magnet closure, at least for now.
The front cover does not fold back completely flat, although it might loosen with time. It's just a bit annoying sometimes to realize that you can't lay the thing down flat with the front flap folded back to read a book or something when, say, you're sitting at a bar or on an airplane. A minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things I suppose.
Lastly, and maybe most important, the thing is thick. It turns your sleek little Fire into something about the thickness of a paperback copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The thickness is due to the fact that the case doubles as a stand, so the back of the case is doubly thick because there is a separate microfiber-lined backing for the Fire in addition to the leather-covered and microfiber-lined back of the cover itself. The microfiber backing is what the Fire is actually strapped to, and it's what fits into those grooves on the front cover when you use the thing as a stand. The thickness is what you get in exchange for that sturdy construction and versatility...
...but it makes me wonder. Might Amazon not also profit from making a case of the same quality materials without the built-in stand? If it had a more flexible spine that folded back completely, no grooves on the inside front cover (therefore, a clean screen when you opened it!), and it was notably thinner...you could buy both that cover and this one for about the same price as some of the supposedly fancier covers also for sale on Amazon, then you could use whichever best suited your circumstances. Just a thought.
